Teak Wood Outdoor Furniture

Teak wood outdoor furniture is one of the best choices for your outdoor living spaces. Not only is it extremely long lasting, but it actually get more beautiful as time goes on. In addition, it is a natural material.
Teak starts out as a lovely golden color. This eventually turns to silver. Both look very natural in the garden. There are ways to restore the original golden color. You can purchase special cleaners for this purposes. Many advise against using teak oil on outdoor pieces.
Teak outdoor furniture can be used with or without cushions. The complete architecture of the pieces and all of the slats may be seen when cushions are not used. However, those who are sticklers for comfort may prefer the softness provided by cushions and the furniture still looks nice.
There is a large variety of pieces to use in your landscape. I have seen many different benches done in teak and they are quite beautiful. Adirondack chairs can be a nice addition, whether you use them on your patio or simply out on the lawn. There is also quite an array of dining furniture available along with lounges for patio areas, pools and lawn.
I happen to like market umbrellas with teak furniture, particularly in the green color. That dark green color with the golden wood (or even the silver patina later on) looks beautiful.
You can also add some planters. One thing that is great about teak is that it is resistant to rotting. It also will not warp like other woods. This is because it is very dense.
There are different grades and quality of teak furniture. Some of this has to do with the way it is built. Glue is less desirable than other methods. In addition, the weight of the wood makes a big difference. Therefore it is best to by from a quality store and one that has been certified. Certification means that where the wood is attained from abides by sustainable practices.
